The Police Traffic Department is carrying out numerous operations in the Western Division to put a stop to the increasing number of road accidents.
Regional Traffic Officer Western ASP Pita Ledua said the western division always records the highest number of road accidents and in January this year most of the road fatalities were from the Western Division.
Ledua confirmed they are now targeting illegal vehicles which are running on our roads.
According to Ledua, a number of mini vans which are registered private are being used to carry passengers and their officers are now targeting the drivers who are doing this.
