The Prices and Incomes Board has issued notices to a number of traders to provide documents to clarify that they are selling their products at a reasonable price.

Acting Secretary Lucy Naimawi said the issuing of 14 days notice does not mean that these traders have breached the law.

She added they are still waiting for responses from some traders as they need to gather their documents from their different stores.

Naimawi said it is not easy to judge percentage control items as their inspections are done every day.

Her comments come after PIB received reports that some traders are selling their items at much higher prices.

No traders have been charged yet.
