Trade opportunities between the United States and Fiji is expected to strengthen with a visit to Fiji by the Deputy Director of the Office of the US Trade Representative for South East Asia and the Pacific, Naniette Coleman who arrives today.

Coleman will be in the country on a two day visit from tomorrow to brief the business community on ways to increase trade between the two countries.

American Chamber of Commerce Fiji Chairman Paul Dunk said the visit was important because it is part of an ongoing programme to educate the businessmen and women about the opportunities for doing business with the largest market in the world.

He said they are also planning a yearlong schedule of events to promote exports to the US market as well as explore ways to encourage investment in Fiji.
