Trade Unions today appeared before the New Employment Relations Tribunal for the first time in relation to the dispute filed on back dating the civil servants 5% pay restoration and breach of Collective agreement by the Public Service Commission.
Fiji Public Service Association General Secretary Rajeshwar Singh said Chief Tribunal, William Cullenchini has given the unions two weeks to make submissions and PSC will reply accordingly.
Singh said he has also called on the Tribunal to hear each case separately as the Public Employees Union and Fijian Teachers Association have also filed disputes.
The Public Sector Unions representing civil servants across the country filed the dispute after the Public Service Commission stated that the interim government is not in a position to back date the pay restoration.
