Fijian Teachers Association President Tevita Koroi said the FTA did not abuse the process of the Trade Dispute Act.
Responding to Interim Public Service Minister Poseci Bune's comments that the FTA did abuse the act by calling off their strike once the school holidays were brought forward only to relodge a trade dispute with the Labour Ministry once school commences, Koroi remains adamant that the FTA did not abuse the process.
Koroi also adds that the interim administration taking away the powers of the Interim Labour Minister is the reason that they are pursuing legal action.
