A man was rushed to Labasa Hospital yesterday afternoon injuring himself while changing the tyre of his tractor trailer which was loaded with sugarcane.
Labasa police confirmed the middle aged man was heading towards the Labasa Sugar mill when the tyre burst.
He started to change the tyre with the jack, in the process part of the trailer fell on his stomach.
Some people who were playing rugby in a nearby ground came for help and rushed him to hospital.
He is in serious condition at the Labasa Hospital.
