A chief executive of Lautoka Town Council has recommended to the interim government that the distribution of rations to the towns and cities should be the responsibility of the councils.
Pusp Raj said this will lighten the burden shouldered by the National DISMAC officials during a natural disaster like the past flood.
Meanwhile, Principal DISMAC officer Patiliai Dobui confirmed the distributions of the rations to the affected schools around the country should be completed this week.
