The fate of the Nausori Town Clerk will be decided in a full council meeting this evening.
Nausori Mayor Yogeshwar Singh has confirmed that Town Clerk Satendra Singh has been sent on leave pending investigations.
It is alleged the town clerk used a council mobile to participate in the Vodafone Car-razy competition incurring a bill of more than $3,200.
Singh also won a brand new car in the competition.
Meanwhile, Divisional Crime Officer Eastern ASP Ramesh Chand has also confirmed that they are also investigating the clerk on allegations of abuse of office and he will be questioned soon.
