The 2009 opening IRB Sevens series leg in Dubai is a wide open race for all the 16 teams taking part.
This is the view of World Cup Sevens champions Wales coach Paul Jones with only a day left in preparations.
Jones who guided the Welsh team to claim the Melrose Cup in the City of Gold 7 months ago said every team that plays in the IRB Sevens has the potential to win in Dubai.
Jones knows that he will either meet Fiji or Samoa if they qualify to the quarterfinals and he has prepared his boys for what to expect.
Meanwhile, Fiji will take on Scotland in their opening pool game on Friday evening at 6.20pm.
The second pool game at 9.56pm they will play Zimbabwe and in the last game is at 3.30am against Samoa.
