The two tourists that were arrested with more than $1 million dollars worth of Cocaine are expected to appear in the Nadi Magistrates court today.

Last night police were questioning the two with the help of an interpreter and they are expected to be charged later this morning.

The 46 year old Mexican woman and 44 year old Columbian man arrived in the country last week and after tip offs police raided the hotel they were staying in and confiscated the drugs.

Meanwhile, officials at the Customs Department are trying to establish how the cocaine slipped passed the borders and into the country without being detected.

Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Acting CEO Jitoko Tikolevu told Village that it is a serious concern and he expects an update this morning.
