An Australian tourist has died while snorkeling along the Coral Coast in Sigatoka.
The tourist from Melbourne was reporting missing on Saturday afternoon.
A government statement said that Fiji Police, resort staff and local fishermen were unable to locate the missing tourist on Saturday evening despite a swift and extensive ground and water search.
When the search resumed at first light yesterday morning, the body of the missing tourist was discovered on the reef near Malevu Village.
The family of the tourist has been contacted while investigations continue.
