A tourist is believed to have drowned while snorkeling in the Sigatoka waters yesterday afternoon.
The Police Media Liason Officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri said the 53 year old tourist from USA who was staying at the Reef Resort was snorkeling with some people at around 3pm when he went missing.
A search was conducted and his body was found floating nearby. He was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital however he was pronounced dead by doctors. Sokomuri said a post mortem will be carried out this afternoon and police are trying to inform the man's next of kin in USA.
