Stakeholders in the tourism industry have put their focus on achieving the target set by the Reserve Bank that the tourism industry can turn the economy around.
Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Josefa Tuamoto speaking from the Fiji Tourism Forum at the Intercontinental Golf Fiji Resort and Spa at Natadola, said the Reserve Bank Governor in his presentation stated, that this is achievable within the next two years.
He added this will be possible as long as everyone works together for the betterment of the nation.
Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has urged the tourism industry together with its stakeholders the need to offer more attractive packages to make Fiji more competitive in the world tourism market.
He added Government has an open door policy and urged stakeholders and operators to think outside the box, and a strong partnership between government and the private sector is needed during these challenging times.
