Tourism stakeholders need to work together-AG
These are the words of Attorney General and Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum who was chief guest at the Aeon Excellence in Tourism Fiji Awards held at the Intercontinental Resort in
Natadola last night.
Sayed Khaiyum said however, this is not enough adding that government cannot do all this alone.
Sayed Khaiyum said the industry stakeholders need to work together to help government and make Fiji a force to reckon with in the international tourism market.
Around 300 stakeholders, hotel owners and employees alike attended the awards last night.
Meanwhile, the Awards for Accommodation Budget went to Uprising Beach Resort, Accommodation Delux 5 star to Outrigger Lagoon,
Accommodation Quality to Naviti, Accommodation Unique - Namale Resort in Savusavu, General Tourism Services including shopping and restaurant to Jacks of Fiji and Transport and Tour to Rosie.
The Frontliner of the Year went to Executive Chef of Outrigger Sailesh Naidu while the Life Time Achiever Award went to John Campbell CEO Air Pacific, Jamal Sahan Manager Warwick Fiji, David Voss of Destination Suva.
