Even though the tourism sector is drifting out of the peak season, hotel occupancy levels remain high with the larger players in the industry fully booked out.
Fiji Hoteliers Association President Dixon Seeto said the high occupancy level is due to the recovery of tourist numbers from Australia and New Zealand.
However, Seeto said the smaller hotels and resorts are still not doing so well and perhaps better marketing strategies are needed.
Tourism Fiji remains confidents to reach its target of 540,000 visitors by the end of the year.
