The Hotel Turn Over tax hike of 2% and the length of stay of boats here in Fiji is a concern.
This is the view of Interim Tourism Minister, Bernadette Rounds Ganilau who has confirmed that a meeting will be held with the stakeholders in the industry to discuss this issue.
The 2008 National Budget announcement had a 2% increase in the hotel turnover tax from 3% which Rounds Ganilau had said was a shock for the industry.
