With record visitor arrivals for the month of May, Tourism Fiji is optimistic that it can achieve it's target of one million visitor arrivals well before 2016.

Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said visitor arrivals currently stands at more than 200,000 for this year, which is a positive sign, especially with the month of May recording a total of 45,087 in what the industry deems its off peak season.

Wong said their Tourism Development Plan has set a target of one million visitors by 2016 and they are now focusing on new markets to attract more tourists.
