French clubs Toulouse and Toulon are set to duel it out for the signature of Joe Rokocoko.

The All Blacks winger comes off contract at the end of the World Cup and looks highly likely to be heading overseas later in the year, although the NZRU and the Blues are sure to put up a fight to keep a player of his quality.

Toulon are now expected to step up their interest in Rokocoko because former All Black Rudi Wulf is set to head back to New Zealand for family reasons halfway into his two-year contract.

Rokocoko has an outstanding reputation in Europe as one of the best finishers in the game and a bidding war is sure to shoot his price through the roof.

The lone game on Friday at 7:35pm will see Hurricanes meet the Blues in Wellington.
