It will not be an easy path for the South Seas Drifters which is made up of players from the Digicel Fiji 7's team to try and win in the Gold Coast 7's this weekend.

IRB 7's team like Samoa, New Zealand and Australia have also confirmed that they will be part of this two day event which also have teams like Davetalevu from Nadroga, PNG, Taranaki from New Zealand and a Brisbane Fijian team.

Samoa will be captain by Simaika Mikaele who was a key player in their history making IRB World Series Championship winning team.

Drifters team will be led by Nasoni Roko and will have the likes of Kelemedi Bola, Api Ratuniyarawa, Timoci Vakadranu and Mala Kuribau in the team.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula will name his final 12 member team for Dubai and South Africa when he returns from the Gold Coast 7's where teams from Australia and South Africa will also use this as their preparation ground.

The opening leg of the IRB 7's will kick off next month in Dubai on the 4th and 5th.
