Tough task ahead for new FRU board
Naiorosui replaced Ioane Naiveli who held the position for the past 18 years at the FRU AGM yesterday.
Speaking to the union members at the AGM, the outgoing Director Finance Naiveli said the contributing factors to the loss was the decrease from the IRB grants and the losses mostly from the net gate takings in the Digicel Cup and Colonial Cup competition.
Naiveli added that it will be a big challenge for the new board to at least get these local cup competitions breaks even in costs.
The new FRU Director Finance Naiorosui said they have to put in place strategies to turn things around.
One of the areas Naiorosui will have to look at is a good marketing manager to find sponsors for the FRU.
The other board members voted in yesterday are Keni Dakuidreti, Kitione Vuetaki, Meli Tora, Waisake Radrodro and Bill Gavoka.
