With one more day left for John McKee to name his final 31 squad for the Rugby World Cup next month, the Vodafone Flying Fijians have been impressive during their past training sessions.

McKee has already highlighted the tough competition within the team as the players are trying to secure their spot for the World Cup.

Looking at the backline, Ben Volavola and Josh Matavesi are likely to be selected as the playmakers, the midfield sees strong competition between Vereniki Goneva, Gabby Lovobalavu, Waisea Nayacalevu and Levani Botia.

The top wings include Nemani Nadolo, Asaeli Tikoirotuma, Napolioni Nalaga and Metuisela Talebula.

Nikola Matawalu looks good to be the first choice halfback after an impressive Pacific Nations Cup performance while Henry Seniloli and Nemia Kenatale have also showed progress in their games.

The final squad will be named this Friday and the team will leave for England on the 31st of this month.

Fiji is the first team to be welcomed in England on the 10th of next month and the ceremony will take place at the Hampton Court Palace.

England will host the Flying Fijians in the opening Rugby World Cup match at 7am on the 19th of next month.
