The Digicel Fiji Sevens team face a very tough road ahead of them as they countdown the hours to tonight's quarterfinal stages in the Edinburgh Sevens.

Fiji will go head-to-head with last week's London Sevens champions Samoa in the second quarterfinal at 11:05pm.

Barring any upsets, Fiji will face IRB sevens series champions New Zealand in the semifinals and are desperate for a win to secure second position in the points standings.

Fiji ran riot against France, Setefano Cakau scoring two of their six tries in a 42-7 win before they scored eight more against Moldova - 52-7, Iliavi Satala and Timoci Matanavou each scoring a brace and were then far too strong for the Africans, winning by 38-7 this morning.

Looking at tonight's quarterfinal matches: IRB series champions New Zealand take on Scotland at 10:43pm, Fiji take on London Sevens champions Samoa at 11:05pm, Wales meet France at 11:27pm and South Africa meet England at 11:49pm.

The Cup semifinal kicks off at 3:08am while the Cup finals will be played at 5:16am.
