The Vodafone Fiji Bati will not get an easy ride towards the semifinal playoffs in the Rugby League World Cup.

The Wes Naiqama skippered side will have to go through hard work to achieve their goal after France defeated Scotland by 36 points to 18 last night.

Both France and Scotland are in Fiji Bati's Pool, where only one team will qualify for semifinal playoffs.

After France's win yesterday, they have been tagged as Fiji's biggest threat. The Fiji Bati will meet France on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in other Rugby League World Cup matches played so far, Australia defeated New Zealand 30 points to 6 while England beat Papua New Guinea by 32-22.

In today's only match Tonga will play Ireland at 7:55pm.
