As the last round of games in the Crest Chicken National Netball Championships is set to kick off this morning, the organisers are expecting very tough competition between defending champions Suva, Lautoka and Nasinu.
Chief Technical Officer, Alini Sovu said that both Suva and Nasinu have been undefeated so far in the Tournament and this morning, all the teams are vying for a play-off spot.
Meanwhile, looking at results from yesterday:
Suva beat closest rivals Lautoka in their first game today by
29-14, thrashed Tailevu in their second match by 56-3 and thumped Navosa by 60-8.
Nasinu, who were also finalists last year have won all their games so far, they beat Lautoka 27-24, went on to beat Nadi 36-19 and they thrashed Navosa in their last pool game by 41-9.
Lautoka, who have been very close rivals to Nasinu and Suva in the past years have only won one game against Tailevu, 47-10.
They lost to Suva 29-14 and also lost to Nasinu 24-27.
The competition starts at 9am at the Netball Courts in Laucala Bay in Suva.
