Top teams like Waimanu, Army One, Ratu Filise and Suva One will not be taking part in the third round of the Digicel Suva 7s that will be held in Labasa this weekend.

Tournament co-ordinator Vilikesa Rauca said that these teams have already qualified for the Digicel Suva International 7s later this month and are giving the opportunity for other teams to prove themselves in this weeks tournament.

Rauca confirms that altogether 32 teams will be taking part in the two-day tournament, after which the finalists will confirm their places for the Suva International 7s.

The Labasa 7s will be held on Friday and Saturday at Subrail Park in Labasa.

Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea 7s side has today confirmed that they will take part in the Digicel Suva International 7s tournament later this month.
