The top three officials from the Super Premier division have come out in support of Fiji FA president Doctor Samsud Dean Sahu Khan to remain with the 60 minutes of soccer in major tournaments.
It has been passed in the Fiji FA council meeting to have 90 minutes of soccer in major tournaments from next season but it can be changed by the district officials who will have majority of votes.
Lautoka soccer president Shalen Prasad said the 90 minutes of soccer in major tournaments will kill the interest and he will be happy to see it remain as it is.
Meanwhile, Labasa soccer president Abinesh Kumar said we cannot compare our soccer standard with the rest of the world.
He said Fiji soccer fans are used to watching four or five days of tournament rather than having 90 minutes of soccer that could last three weeks.
Navua soccer president Anil Sharma is also happy with the current format and will ask Fiji FA not to change the format just for the sake of it.
