Three seasoned campaigners will not feature for the Suva soccer team in the Courts IDC which kicks off at the TFL Stadium this coming Thursday.

Coach, Zulfikar Khan said Esava Naqeleca is out with a fever, while Joshep Nimiriau and Luke Ha'atera have not been attending training and have been dropped from the squad.

But the exclusion of these capable players will not affect the Capital side’s preparation, as seven New Zealand based players are jetting into the country tonight.

Aaron Singh, Shekar Prakash, Vishal Lal, Shelvin Lal and three New Zealand born players have been drafted into the Suva team.

Suva has not won the IDC since 1984 and the inclusion of these seven players means that officials are serious going into the tournament.

Suva opens its Courts IDC campaign against Nasinu next Thursday at 9.15pm.
