Top Post Only For Ordained Ministers
Taukei Navo and former Deputy President Ratu Meli Saukuru confirmed that other notable names to qualify for the top post are the General Secretary and Deputy Secretary Reverend Ame Tugawe and Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu, Reverend Tomasi Kanailagi and Reverend Manasa Lasaro.
Ratu Meli said Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca took over from Reverend Jone Langi who passed away two years ago and his term comes to an end next week.
However, Reverend Ratabacaca can always apply for the top post.
Meanwhile, the Methodist Church of Fiji will appoint a new President of the Church on the first day of the Annual Conference next Monday.
Assistant General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu has confirmed that current President Laisiasa Ratabacaca's term will come to an end when he officially opens the meeting next Monday.
