The Ponsonby rugby club that has produced most of the All Blacks in the history of New Zealand rugby, is putting together a powerful side to lead their campaign for the Uprising Fiji International Rugby 7s in Suva next month.

Tournament organizer, Randall Kamea confirmed that the side will feature current New Zealand forward, Scott Curry and former New Zealand powerhouse, Ed Cocker.

Ponsonby, which won the 2010 Auckland Rugby 7s Championship, played over three weekends earlier this month, also confirmed two young and talented utility backs in current Counties Manukau NPC player, Richie Ah Chong and Rocky Khan, whose parents hail from Fiji.

Ponsonby has also won the Auckland XVs Club Rugby Championship for the 9 of the 10 decades.

Tickets for the Uprising Fiji International 7s are now on sale at the Fiji Sports Council for $10 on Friday 21 January and $15 for Saturday 22 January.
