Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni has refused to comment on the SDL party's resolution in which the party raised serious concerns about the performance of police to address the increasing criminal activities.

The party in its Annual General Meeting last week came up with concerns that there were high incidences of rape cases, sacrilege and white collar crimes over the last twelve months.

They also raised concern in its resolution at the alleged abuse of human rights by its officers as shown recently in the case relating to the late Malasebe, in addition to the two deaths in the hands of the military whose investigations are yet to be concluded and brought to the courts.

Police Media Officer Ema Mua confirmed Teleni will not comment on this matter as these concerns have come through a political document and have a political view.

Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that as of today there has been a 21% decrease in all types of crime compared to the same period last year.
