Top Coke Games athletes to feature at Easter Athletics Championships
Athletes like sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro, Mataiasi Savou, Lepani Naivalu, Ana Kaloucava, Paulini Korowaqa, Elenoa Sailosi and Sisilia Seavula will be part of the Easter Athletics Championship.
The competition which is now been used by Fiji Athletics as the trial for a spot in the Pacific Games is expected to be a preview of next week's Coca Cola Games.
Tabakaucoro, Savou and Naivalu will face off for the 100 and 200 meter while Kaloucava, Korowaqa and Sailosi will battle it out in the girls division.
Currently from what they have achieved in the Zone final which was recorded on manual times, Tabakaucoro has the fastest time of 10.4 seconds with Savou on 10.74 and Naivalu sitting on 10.76 seconds.
Jone Delai holds the Pacific Games record for the men's 100 metre sprints at a time of 10.34secs.
The Easter Athletics Championship will start at the TFL Stadium on Saturday at 9am with the 5000 meter final in the women and men's category.
