The Ikale Tahi Tonga side is aiming to surprise the Vodafone Flying Fijians on Saturday in the 2016 Pacific Nations Cup opener at the ANZ Stadium.
With eight overseas‑based players and a combination of both experienced and new players, the Tongans are banking on a well‑structured game plan and set pieces to beat the Flying Fijians on their home ground.
Tongan skipper and New Zealand‑based Nilli Latu says they went into camp in Nuku'alofa last Friday and anticipate a good round of matches against Samoa and Fiji.
Latu adds that they are keen on displaying Pacific Rugby at its best on Saturday.
He is calling on all Tongan fans in Fiji to support them.
