The Prime Minister of Tonga Akilisi Pohiva said he hopes the other island nations in the Pacific Islands Forum can encourage Fiji to return to the fold.
Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama said he will not attend the Pacific Islands Forum unless the ball game changes in the forum.
Bainimarama said Australia and New Zealand have to go out of the Forum.
The Tongan Prime Minister said if the small nations stick together they could eventually convince Fiji to stay but he says New Zealand and Australia must remain as members.
Pohiva said any issues around membership should be discussed at the Forum summit.
