It is good to be back.
That is the sentiment of the new co-captain of the Digicel Fiji 7s team and Army Green captain Dale Tonawai after being named in the side to the Hong Kong Sevens Tournament next Friday.
The 31 year old Army officer who has represented Fiji in two outings in Hong Kong said being given a chance to don the national jumper despite the travel sanctions against military personnel is a blessing which has left him speechless.
Tonawai has been named alongside Watisoni Votu as co-captain of the side to the Hong Kong leg of the series.
National Coach Iliesa Tanivula said the inclusion of Tonawai is a boost to the side and will see players step up to the challenge.
The Fiji team to the Hong Kong Sevens named earlier today:
Seremaia Burotu, Watisoni Votu, Setefano Cakau, Dale Tonawai, Waqabaca Kotobalavu, Nikola Matawalu, Emosi Vucago, Mitieli Nacagilevu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Ilai Tinai, David Batiratu and Osea Kolinisau.
The non-travelling reserves are Kelemedi Bola, Livai Ikanikoda, Sailosi Rabo and Nemani Nagusa.
The Hong Kong Sevens will kick off next Friday and Fiji is pooled with Kenya, Russia and Malayasia.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7s team leaves this afternoon for Sigatoka for a training camp before they fly out on Monday.
