Tokatoka Westfield Dragons robust forward Josaia Wini has made his big break into the national 7s scene after being included in the Vodafone Fiji 7s squad that marched into camp today.

Wini, who is the younger brother of former renowned Naitasiri rugby player Tokoni Luvu, has been playing consistently for Westfield in many of the local 7s tournament including being one of the stars of the tournament at the Coral Coast 7s last year.

Wini is expected to provide stiff competition in the forwards for selection as there are other capable players like Semi Kunatani, Apisai Domolailai, Aisake Katonibau, Jasa Veremalua and Nasoni Roko.

Also recalled into the squad are Sevuloni Moceinacagi of Yamacia and Niko Verekauta from the Wardens 7s team.

Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has maintained his stand that he will pick on form and fitness will be one of the determining factors for a player to be selected in the final 12 member team.

The New Zealand 7s will be held on the 6th and 7th of next month where Fiji will face Australia, Wales and Portugal in its pool.
