There is a big injury blow for the Blues rugby team with Isaia Toeava ruled out for the rest of the season.

Coach Pat Lam said they found out that Toeava's hip stress fracture has returned.

Lam said the in form fullback will need six weeks of non weight bearing exercise, which effectively rules him out for the rest of the season.

However Toeava thinks the injury's not as serious this time so he should be available for the All Blacks.

The Blues take on Hurricanes at 7.35pm tomorrow.

At 9.40pm Rebels will play Reds.
