Police have once again called on the parents to closely monitor their children and not to leave them alone.

This call comes after a 1 year 8 month old baby boy drowned in a creek in Semo, Sigatoka, yesterday afternoon.

Assistant spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the boy was with his mother when he suddenly disappeared.

A search was conducted and his body was found floating in the creek.

A post mortem will be conducted today.
