Today is World Blood Donor Day and to mark the day Health officials are in the Hidden Paradise of Savusavu to mark a day where thousands of people have unselfishly donated blood to help others.
Media Liaison Officer Iliesa Tora said the Ministry has always acknowledged the quick response from members of the public when the need for blood arises at various hospitals.
Tora said they have decided to hold this years celebration in Savusavu.
