The Toa Samoan’s wish of meeting their Pacific rivals the Vodafone Fiji Bati in the Rugby League World Cup quarter finals will be fulfiled if they beat the strong French side this morning.

Samoa’s forwards are known to be strong runners with a backline that include Newcastle Knights center Joseph Leilua and Melbourne Storm center Junior Sa'u.  

Samoa finished in ninth place in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup and is hoping to improve it’s campaign this year.

Samoa lost to New Zealand 24-42 in the first pool game before  thrashing the PNG Kumuls 38-4.

The Samoa and France clash kicks off at 8am today. 

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji Bati will play the winner of Samoa and France clash at 4am next Monday in the Rugby League World cup quarterfinal.
