Times are hard nowadays before we used to get alot of money, now not that much.

These are the words wheelbarrow operator and father of seven, Jone Vakasa who survives on the money he gets from his wheelbarrow business.

Vakasa said he has six wheelbarrows and hires them out for $4-$6 a day adding that before, for one wheelbarrow he could get $30-$40, now times are hard and all he gets is half of this.

Vakasa used to work as a builder for government before however he got hurt and turned to the wheelbarrow business for his livelihood.

He said most of the time he has to talk to his wheelbarrow boys, to keep them focused and not give up in times of hardship, especially now.

He said most of the time he has to encourage them, tell them to save their well earned money and give some to their families to buy food to survive.
