Wainimakutu Junior Secondary received a timely boost today from Telecom Fiji Limited for the Coca Cola Games tomorrow.
They received track suites, T-shirts, cash for two days and a tent to shelter the athletes at the stadium.
The School from Namosi, will have 20 athletes competing at the two day meet, although coming to Suva Zone One earlier this month they had borrowed vests, shorts and track shoes from other school students.
School Principal Varenisi Qiokata said for the first time ever they have received a sponsorship for their athletes.
Wainimakutu Junior Secondary's top gold medal prospect is Mesake Lawaki in the senior division. Lawaki is aiming for two gold medals in the 100 and 400 metres. He won three gold medals at Suva Zone One meet and was also named the top male athlete.
