You may have beaten the system in the past but it is about time that you face the consequences.

That is the message to the video and music audio pirates from the Managing Director of South Pacific Recordings Ravindra Patel.

Patel has been pushing for years to weed out the pirates and is happy that the new law is in place.

He was driven out of the video library business due to increased piracy in Fiji and had to close all his 14 video libraries.

Now he is assisting the police to ensure that the law breakers face tough action.

Patel is also concerned that some video outlets are saying today that they are selling original movies for $1.50.
