The leader of the military coups in 1987 Sitiveni Rabuka said the time is now over for race based Affirmative Action Programmes.
Rabuka, who started off race based assistance programmes for indigenous Fijians after the 1987 coups when he became Prime Minister, said things now need to change.
Rabuka said the Affirmative Action should be need based.
Rabuka who is still the leader of the SVT was part of the political forum last week.
