Newly appointed President of the Fiji Law Society Dorsami Naidu said this is his first task taking over the Presidency and stresses it’s time for the legal fraternity to play its part.
According to Naidu he had the support of the members of the Law Society who have voted him in as they recognise that it’s time to move on.
However, former President of the Fiji Law Society Isireli Fa said it is not the right decision by the new President but wished him luck.
The Law Society pulled out of the Judicial Services Commission and other bodies of the Judiciary after the removal of the suspended Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki.
