Fijian Born Asaeli Tikoirotuma scored a try for the Chiefs to beat the Sharks 37-29 last night.

Other tries were scored by centres Bundee Aki and Tim-Nanai Williams.

The Sharks hit back by scoring three first tries in 18 minutes to trail 24-19 at halftime.

There point result has a big impact on the overall standings as the Chiefs moved to the top of the New Zealand Super Rugby conference and the Sharks provisionally move to the top of the South African Conference.

Meanwhile in other matches played last night, Henry Speight’s two try helped the Brumbies thrash the Western Force 41-7, the Bulls beat the Waratahs 31-19 while the Cheetahs beat the Kings 26-12 this morning.

In this afternoon’s game, the Crusaders will meet the Rebels at 4.10.
