Fiji born Chiefs wing, Asaeli Tikoirotuma will be playing for his father when he takes the field in the Super Rugby final.

Tikoirotuma's father, Savenaca who is a diabetic patient had his leg amputated just before the semifinal against the Crusaders.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Savenaca said he told his son before the semifinal not to worry about him and just to concentrate on his game and his rugby career.


The 68 year old father of six said Asaeli should play for his family and especially his country.

Savenaca said he missed the semifinals because of his leg amputation but he will not miss the final.

The Chiefs host the Brumbies in the Super Rugby final this Saturday at 7.35pm.
