Government Spokesperson, Col Pio Tikoduadua has been re-appointed as director to the Airports Fiji Limited for another three years.

Col Tikoduadua along with chairman Rick Rickman, and Samuela Tamani have been reappointed to the AFL Board of Directors for a further three years from 2010.

Rickman said that their reinstatement will also ensure that plans to upgrade Nadi and Nausori Airports as well as the restructuring of AFL would continue as planned.

It was also Rickman's leadership as acting Chairman that AFL also opened out its airport services to new airliners such as Continental Micronesia, Jetstar, V Australia and Air Kiribati.

Rickman has also stressed that they will continue to work on upgrading airports and services around the country as the Airports are important in for the wellbeing of the tourism industry as well as the overall economy and would continue to explore ways to improve services and facilities to maximize returns to benefit the country.
