The Tikina representatives have been advised to utilise their allowances and claims correctly which should be highlighted in their report.
Deputy Permanent Secretary Indigenous Affairs, Colonel Apakuki Kurusiga made the comments while addressing members of the Kadavu Provincial Council yesterday stating that they expect monthly reports from Tikina reps and have been advised not to wait for the quarterly report.
Kurusiga said his office will monitor the role of the Tikina reps on rural developments which should coincide with the intentions of the Government.
Meanwhile Kurusiga has agreed that a workshop will be conducted in Kadavu mainly for the Tikina reps, Turaganikoro's and the chiefs, on the changes relating to the draft by-laws which is still under consultation awaiting proposals from the villagers.
