Tietjens wants a win at home
Tied with Fiji in the number 1 spot in the IRB Sevens Series with 51 points, coach Gordon Tietjens knows what his players are faced with in Wellington.
New Zealand is in Pool A with Samoa, Scotland and Japan and is likely to face either Australia or France in the quarterfinal, Tietjens wants a win at home.
Former Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua believes that to take the title away from New Zealand will take a mammoth task for any team knowing what they have achieved in the RWC last year.
Tabua will be the guest in a talk back show on our sister station Viti-FM before and after Fiji’s pool games.
Fiji will play Argentina at 12.44pm tomorrow in their first pool match of the New Zealand Sevens.
At 3.40pm they will take on Tonga and in its last pool match Fiji will play Wales at 8.12pm.
