New Zealand 7s coach Gordon Tietjens took time out yesterday to visit the Flying Fijians team management and compare notes.

FRU Operations Manager Vilikesa Rinavuaka said that Tietjens imparted some coaching, training tips and techniques in such a knowledgeable manner that made them feel that they should also be taking notes.

Rinavuaka added that he is one of the few coaches in international rugby whom even seasoned international coaches would be in or awe for a person who’s shy of his 60th birthday he looks in pretty good shape too.

Also paying a visit to the team is one of Rugby World Cup’s founders, Richard Littlejohn who was the team manager of New Zealand XV that toured Fiji in 1984.

Littlejohn said he wants to see New Zealand tour Fiji again for some test matches.
